My name is Josh West and I am a graduate of Grace Christian University with a Bachelors Degree in Ministry and Leadership. I am married to my beautiful wife Kylie, and we have four children (Charlie, Caliber, Harrison, and Emberly). Outside of church I am a teacher at Northern Discovery Academy where I teach 7th to 12th grade. I am also an Army veteran where I served in both Iraq and Afghanistan as an infantryman. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family where I coach my children in youth sports. We also enjoy fishing, kayaking, and traveling to various museums, national parks and sporting events.
Cheryl has been serving as the church secretary since August of 2020. She and her husband, Jim, moved from Louisiana to the Standwood area in September of 2019 where Jim became the Pastor of the Woods Free Methodist Church. Cheryl is not foreign to the cold winters however, as she was born and raised in Michigan.
Cheryl and Jim have been married 33 years and have three grown children and two grandsons. They have worked together in the pastoral ministry for nearly 30 years, serving in churches in Ohio, Louisiana and Michigan.

Northland Global Methodist Church roots go back to three rural Methodist churches from the 1860’s. In 1971, Morley Methodist, Higbee Methodist, and Stanwood Methodist combined to form what is now Northland GMC.
